Patrick J. Prichard was named LifeSecure’s President & CEO in May 2019. He joined LifeSecure and served as Vice President & COO in July 2016 to oversee administrative operations, IT and human resources. He has held leadership roles with several major insurers and has extensive knowledge in the health care industry. His broad experience also includes direction of regional sales, service, provider and agent relations, and community involvement. Patrick earned his bachelor’s degree from Auburn University and is a licensed life, health, disability and workers compensation agent.


Debbie Marcum joined LifeSecure in 2007 and was promoted to Vice President of Operations & Information Technology in March 2020. She oversees several areas to ensure the company is operating efficiently and effectively for its customers and successfully executing its business strategies. Previously, Debbie served various roles within IT and was essential to building LifeSecure’s best-in-class technology platforms and leading the company’s efforts in data protection and security. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Eastern Michigan University.

As Vice President of Sales & Strategic Relationships, Scott Reid leads the identification and development of new business partnership opportunities to foster continued growth and diversification of all LifeSecure products. Scott came to LifeSecure from an industry leading insurer, where he helped oversee the strategic planning and development of ancillary products. He has more than 20 years of experience in the insurance and financial services industries, which includes multiple leadership positions. Scott received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Ottawa.


Mike Troup is the lead executive for financial disciplines within LifeSecure. He provides the financial oversight and direction necessary to keep LifeSecure on its path of continued growth. Prior to joining LifeSecure in June 2017, Mike spent more than 20 years in leadership roles in the insurance industry. He received his bachelor’s degree from Georgia Tech and was previously an Associate of the Society of Actuaries.

Brian Vestergaard joined LifeSecure when it was founded and has served as Vice President of Product and Marketing since 2006. Brian has been instrumental in the design of LifeSecure’s trademark simple, yet flexible products, while also leading brand strategies, marketing and communications. Since 2017, he also oversees all corporate compliance and governance functions. Brian has over 20 years of experience in the long term care and ancillary insurance industry. He earned two bachelor’s degrees from Purdue University and a master’s degree from the Thunderbird School of Global Management in Glendale, Ariz.
